Craig A. Lewis – Silicon Valley

Interim management executive, Craig A. Lewis, is a senior sales, marketing and operations executive with over thirty years of consistent success starting, leading and growing businesses that effectively compete in global markets. He has developed extensive knowledge of sales team-building and management processes, including incentive compensation programs, forecasting methodologies and sales metrics. He is also a recognized expert in global sourcing opportunities, including offsite, near-shore and offshore outsourcing considerations. He brings industry vertical experience to clients in the technology, manufacturing, insurance, financial services, retail/distribution and public sectors.

Best known for his entrepreneurial skills, team-oriented focus and personal integrity, Mr. Lewis operates effectively at all customer executive levels. Having held senior P&L positions, with responsibility for organizations in excess of $150M, he is recognized for consistently creating, developing and delivering dramatic increases in overall sales and revenue performance.

After graduating from Stanford University and serving as an officer in the United States Army, Mr. Lewis began his career as an analyst for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) developing large, interactive business systems in the retail and distribution industry. He subsequently joined IBM as a retail and distribution industry analyst, where he quickly became an acknowledged expert on all phases of business operations. Using effective relationship-building skills, he rapidly expanded his contributions to lead IBM’s sales and support relationships with some of its largest customers. As he developed a reputation for being an effective negotiator and deal closer, he earned several back-to-back management promotions, including key leadership assignments in California, the Southwest, and Northeast Regions. When IBM shifted its market focus to include a competitive professional services strategy, Mr. Lewis’ returned to California to build one of the largest and most successful professional service business portfolios in the United States.

Having earned industry-wide recognition for his success with product and technology companies, Mr. Lewis successfully created and delivered similar consulting and services organizations, business strategies, operational practices and project management methods for Amdahl, Hitachi Data Systems and American Management Systems.

In addition to these senior executive positions, Mr. Lewis has also worked extensively in public sector and not-for-profit areas, and has been recognized on many occasions in both his professional and private life for high ethical values and interpersonal skills. In a recent assignment as Chief Operating Officer with a leading provider of professional development services to teachers, the company successfully achieved profitability, implemented a full complement of operational business processes, hired six key executive leaders and effectively re-launched its business model.

Mr. Lewis is married, with three children and currently resides with his wife in Northern California where he also serves on several boards and community-based service organizations.
