[...] Any company looking to actually be a sponsor or speaker, or to host an exhibit at an Ad-Tech conference, can find all of the pertinent contact details on the homepage. Clicking on any of these three opportunities will bring up specific contact information for Ad-Tech representatives the world over, as well as detail the advantages doing business with Ad-Tech provides. Any company looking to increase their digital marketing presence would benefit from Ad-Tech’s services, and at Ad-Tech.com a browser has access to all the information they need to attend a conference or exhibit on digital marketing in several major international cities.
Paul you've hit on an important topic. The CMC certification can play many different roles for individual advisors such as differentiation between consultants and reduction of buyers remorse by the client at the time of engagement.

As an industry group I think there's also opportunity to use it as a greater force for change - things like improvement of payment terms from government clients for CMC advisors etc. - but for that to happen the ICMCI and CMC designating organizations around the globe are going to have to shift into branding gear soon. The 2008 IMC USA Brand Survey is a good start.

While 40% of respondents already indicated that the CMC gave them competitive advantage over non-CMC consultants that can improve significantly if the ICMCI takes the steps proposed to branding the designation internationally.

This past November I did a half day business development workshop as the guest of CMC Canada as they partnered with ICMCI and Dennis Strong to launch the Caribbean Institute of Certified Management Consultants chapter in Barbados. There was a lot of dicussion about how ICMCI could support the chapters and business development efforts of individual consultants in the Caribbean with strong branding of the CMC designation. In my opinion it was likely one of the key reasons that chapter was formed.

Take care Paul!

[...] The greatest value of Twitter is the direct communication channel to your followers. A Twitter update gets sent out to all your followers, instantly reaching many on their cell phones via SMS. Many brands such as Zappos and Comcast have used Twitter in this way to reach thousands of customers instantly and directly. Many marketers such as Chris Brogan and Scott Monty have built well known personal brands with 10,000+ followers. Listening to Customers Twitter can be tremendously valuable for companies who want to learn more about their customers. By using the Twitter search feature at search.twitter.com, you can monitor real-time data from the Twittersphere and see every time someone talks about your brand or about the industry. If you release a new product, you can get immediate feedback from people who are talking about it. People are more likely to talk about companies and brands on Twitter compared to blogs because it is extremely quick and easy.
